Google Fonts, fallbacks, font files, and what email clients show.

# Fonts in email

Text set in a Google Font is linked automatically, and any other font gets the fallback you choose or a font file you host. Email clients that load web fonts show your font; the rest show the fallback.

## Google Fonts

When a text layer uses a Google Font, Sendra links it in the export. There is nothing to set.

## Fallback font

The export window's Fonts section lists every font in the email. For each, **Fallback font** is what a client shows when your font is not available:

- Sans-serif: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, Tahoma.
- Serif: Georgia, Times New Roman.
- Monospace: Courier New.

Choose one close in width to your font, so lines wrap the same way. Then check the preview.

## Font URL

For a font you host yourself, paste the address of the font file into **Font URL**. Clients that load web fonts use it.

## What clients show

Clients that load web fonts show your font. Clients that do not show the fallback, in the sizes and weights you designed. Use **Send test** to see the email in the clients your readers use.
