# Mobile layout

On a phone the email narrows to the width of the screen, columns stack, images scale down, and small icons keep their size. The Customize tab lets you adjust each layer for phones without touching the desktop design.

## Stacking

Select a row and choose **Stack on mobile**: **Auto** lets Sendra decide, **Stack** puts the columns on top of each other, **Side-by-side** keeps them beside each other.

## Spacing

For a frame, **Override padding on mobile** and **Override gap on mobile** set different padding and spacing for phones.

## Text

For a text layer, **Override font size on mobile** and **Override line height on mobile** set a size that reads well on a phone.

## Widths

- For an image, **Width on mobile** is **Default (auto)**, **Full width**, or a **Custom** width.
- For a button, **Full width on mobile** stretches it across the screen.
- For a frame, **Limit width on mobile** keeps it from filling the screen.

## Showing a layer on one screen only

**Show on** in the Visibility card hides a layer on desktop or on mobile. See [Customize a layer](/customize-a-layer/).

## Check the result

Open the Mobile preview after each change; it regenerates as you edit.
